ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Mike O’Leary to a standard player contract.
O'Leary, 26, joins the Blades after spending the 2023-24 season with the AHL’s Iowa Wild and the Finnish Elite’s Ilves where he appeared in a combined 47 games recording three assists. Before his time in Finnland, O'Leary played two consecutive seasons with the Wild, tallying 12 goals and 18 assists over 110 regular-season contests. This followed three seasons with the Hartford Wolf Pack, where he posted 14 points across 70 games.
Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Notre Dame, amassing 57 points (20 goals, 37 assists) over 151 games. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, O'Leary developed his early skills through five seasons of junior hockey, competing with six teams across both Canada and the United States.
