Everblades Agree to Terms with Sean Allen

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Sean Allen.

Allen, 26, joins the Everblades after appearing in 238 ECHL regular-season contests over the past five seasons. Launching his professional career with the Wichita Thunder in 2019-20, Allen played 143 games with the Thunder before moving over to the Cincinnati Cyclones in 2021-22. In his ECHL career, Allen has registered 31 points on five goals and 26 assists during the regular season, while picking up one postseason assist in 18 combined Kelly Cup Playoff games with the two clubs.

Last season, the veteran opened the 2023-24 campaign with four helpers in 27 contests with the Dundee Stars of the United Kingdom’s Elite Ice Hockey League. He returned to Cincinnati to conclude the season and collected a pair of assists in 21 games with the Cyclones.

A native of Puslinch, Ontario, Allen played five seasons of junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with three different clubs, the Kitchener Rangers, Oshawa Generals and Windsor Spitfires before turning pro.
