ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Santino Centorame.
Centorame, 28, joins the Everblades after appearing in 102 ECHL contests over the past two seasons. With the 2022-23 Trois Rivieres Lions, Centorame posted 11 points on three goals and eight assists in 39 contests. Last season, Centorame collected 23 points on four goals and 19 helpers in 63 games with the Indy Fuel, while adding a goal and two assists in five Kelly Cup Playoff games. Centorame also competed in 16 games with the AHL’s Laval Rocket in 2022-23.
Prior to turning pro, Centorame spent five seasons of collegiate hockey with St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, registering 75 points on 18 goals and 57 assists across 115 regular-season and postseason contests.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Centorame played parts of five seasons of junior hockey with the Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, and the London Knights and Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. In 357 total contests with those clubs, Centorame notched 201 points on 39 goals and 162 helpers.
