ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has signed defenseman Jack Tucker to a standard player contract.
Tucker, 24, will be making his professional debut in the 2024-25 season following a three-year career with the University of Western Ontario. In 57 games with the Mustangs, Tucker registered 22 total points on five goals and 17 assists.
A native of Tampa, Tucker played three seasons of major junior hockey in the QMJHL with the Moncton Wildcats, Acadie-Bathurst Titan and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. In 171 career QMJHL regular-season games, Tucker posted 29 total points on four goals and 25 assists. He also recorded 16 points, all by way of the assist, in 54 contests with the OJHL’s Buffalo Junior Sabres.
His father, John Tucker, appeared in 656 NHL contests over 12 seasons with the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning. The elder Tucker registered 436 career points in the NHL, scoring 177 goals and tallying 259 assists.
