Everblades Announce Trades, Carpenter and Tsekos Rights to Cincinnati

ESTERO, Fla. — The Florida Everblades announced Thursday the completion of the future trade agreements executed for the 2023-24 season.

Leading the transactions, forward Bobo Carpenter, 27, who topped Florida in the playoffs with 12 goals and shared the lead in postseason points at 23 with Oliver Chau, transitions to the Cincinnati Cyclones. Carpenter, a Massachusetts native, contributed significantly over three seasons with Florida, marking his playoff debut this year due to prior injuries hindering his participation in the 2022 and 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Additionally, the Everblades exchanged the ECHL rights for forward Zach Tsekos with the Cincinnati Cyclones to finalize the acquisition of Zach Berzolla. Tsekos, 27, recorded five goals and six assists in 27 games for Florida this season, having previously played for the Utah Grizzlies. Berzolla, 26, contributed one goal and four assists during Florida's recent Kelly Cup campaign

In a separate move, the Blades have secured defenseman Santino Centorame from the Indy Fuel to fulfill the outstanding future considerations from the Cam Hausinger trade. Centorame, 28, completed a productive season with the Fuel, tallying four goals and 19 assists in 63 regular-season games, along with a goal and two assists in five playoff appearances. The Mississauga, Ontario native previously split his rookie campaign between the Trois-Rivieres Lions and AHL's Laval Rocket following his collegiate tenure at St. Francis Xavier University.

In addition to these trades, the Everblades have also navigated the acquisition and subsequent trade of forward Colin Jacobs. Jacobs, originally acquired from Allen as part of the futures in the Murray/Demin trade, was sent to Idaho to fulfill the David Tendeck trade.

Lastly, defenseman Dustyn McFaul, 23, moves to the Fort Wayne Komets as part of the trade that brought Matthew Wedman to the Everblades. McFaul, a former Boston Bruins draft pick, appeared in three games for Florida this season following a collegiate career at Clarkson University. Wedman, 25, made an impact with five goals and 10 assists, including the game-winning goal in Kelly Cup Finals Game Five's overtime, securing the Kelly Cup for the Blades.
