ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades are back at Hertz Arena after an extended streak of road games, and are set to begin a new home series. Visiting Southwest Florida for the next three games are the Savannah Ghost Pirates. Game one of the three-game series is on Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
The Blades are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Orlando Solar Bears on Monday night. Oliver Chau converted the only Everblades goal, as Florida fell in Orlando for the first time this season. The team went 2-2 in the four-game road trip.
Savannah most recently lost to South Carolina on Sunday afternoon 6-4. The Ghost Pirates are now 6-4-0 in their last ten games and in fifth place in the South Division. Savannah needs to string together multiple strong performances to remain mathematically eligible for the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
While Monday’s loss stung, it did not knock the Everblades out of a postseason slot. Florida remains in fourth place in the division, three points ahead of Orlando.
Wednesday will be the first of three games against the Ghost Pirates this week. Game two will be on Mar. 22 at 7:30, while game three is slated to be held on Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m.
