ESTERO, Fla. – After a tough 4-1 loss on Wednesday night, the Florida Everblades look to flush the defeat, and get back into the win column against the Savannah Ghost Pirates on Friday night. Game time on the Jan. 11 matchup is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Hertz Arena.
Despite outshooting Savannah 44-31, the Everblades only got one past Jesper Vikman. The Swedish netminder was playing in his first game with the Ghost Pirates. The Everblades’ only tally came off the stick of Logan Lambdin moments into the second period. Savannah scored once in the first, twice in the second, and once again in the third.
The Ghost Pirates are now 4-0-1 in their last five games – their longest point streak of the season – and are now only four points behind the Everblades in the South Division standings.
After tonight’s matchup in Estero, the Ghost Pirates and Everblades will meet tomorrow night to wrap up this three-game home series.
After next week’s All-Star game in Savannah, the Blades and Ghost Pirates will play a two-game set in Savannah to wrap up the five-game series between the two sides.
