Everblades and Thunder Meet for Second Game

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades and Adirondack Thunder meet again in Upstate New York after a nail-biting 4-3 victory on Wednesday night. Face off for game two of the series is set for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Cool Insuring Arena. 

The Thunder took a 3-0 lead in the first period of Wednesday night’s game before Mark Senden and Riese Zmolek scored in the second to make it 3-2. Wilmer Skoog and Cam Morrison scored in the final period to give the Blades the 4-3 W. Morrison’s tally came in the final minute of regulation to cap the incredible comeback. 

Forty-seven total shots by Florida – the most in a single game this season – spurred on the comeback effort.

Patrick Holway, Tommy Apap, Sean Josling, Blake Murray, and Bobo Carpenter recorded assists throughout the night. Apap, Josling, and Carpenter all lead the Blades with six assists. 

The win extends Florida’s point streak to seven games, dating back to a 3-2 overtime loss to Greenville on Nov. 11. Since then, the Everblades have taken 12 of 14 possible points. 

After Friday’s game, Florida and Adirondack will play on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. to close the series. The Everblades then return home next week for a three-game set against the South Carolina Stingrays!
