ESTERO, Fla – After two of their past four road games were postponed, and a relaxing Christmas break earlier this week, the Florida Everblades return to action to take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in a three-game series. The first of those meetings is Thursday, Dec. 28 at Hertz Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
In the two games Florida completed last week, the team went 1-1 with a 4-3 loss to Jacksonville and a 4-2 win over Savannah. Two other road games last week, one against Orlando and one against South Carolina, were postponed due to ice quality issues.
Greenville played a full slate of four games last week and walked away with a 1-3 record. Losses came against Savannah, Atlanta, and Orlando while the lone win came over Savannah on Dec. 23. Despite the recent record, the Swamp Rabbits are still atop the South division with a 20-8 record.
The last time the Blades and Rabbits met was in mid-November, with Greenville taking two of three in the Palmetto state.
The two clashes at Hertz Arena at the end of this week mark the final Everblades home games of 2023. This past year was incredible for the team and fans alike, as we clinched our second consecutive, and third overall Kelly Cup title!
