ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades General Manager and Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the club has claimed Chris Ordoobadi off waivers from the Worchester Railers.
Ordoobadi, 29, split last season between the Orlando Solar Bears and the Railers. He scored four goals and adding an assist in 27 games between the two clubs while picking up a combined 60 penalty minutes in those games.
The Washington, DC native local turned pro after splitting his college career between Lawrence University and Neumann University in DIII hockey. He had 10 goals and eight assists over 58 games at the collegiate level.
After three road games to start the year, the Everblades’ home opener is on Saturday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. against the Jacksonville Icemen. Before the game, the back-to-back Kelly Cup Champions will send a Kelly Cup banner to the rafters for a second straight season, commemorating the club’s third title.
