ATLANTA, GA - The Florida Everblades return to Atlanta for a huge game against the Gladiators on Saturday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m.
Florida (35-21-4-4) are five points ahead of Atlanta (33-26-6-1) for the final playoff spot in the South Division. The Everblades have two games in hand on the Gladiators.
The Everblades grabbed a 2-1 overtime victory last night against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, snapping a three-game losing streak. Stefan Leblanc scored the overtime winner for his third goal of the season and Cam Johnson stopped 33 shots to get the win. The Everblades are now three points behind Greenville for first place in the South Division.
Atlanta was upset last night by the Savannah Ghost Pirates, falling 4-3 in southern Georgia. Savannah jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second period which proved to be too much for the Gladiators to overcome.
This is the second of three games this week between these two South Division rivals. Atlanta defeated Florida 4-1 with two goals from both Mike Pelech and Cody Sylvester. Blake Winiecki had the Everblades lone tally in that loss.
