EVERBLADES PREPARED FOR PIVOTAL GAME 5

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades and South Carolina Stingrays face off in Game Five of the South Division semifinals on Saturday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. The best-of-seven series is currently tied 2-2 after last night’s 4-2 decision in South Carolina’s favour. 

Jarid Lukosevicius scored twice to lead the Stingrays to the victory that has this series tied up at two games. It’s the University of Denver alum’s second multigoal game in a row. 

Josh Wilkins also scored while Anthony Del Gaizo added the game-sealing empty netter. For both forwards, it was their first of the postseason. 

Oliver Chau and Sean Josling found the back of the net for the Everblades in the loss. Chau’s goal opened the scoring in his first game back in Florida’s lineup since March 10, also against South Carolina. Josling leads Florida in goals with four in the postseason. 

Cam Johnson suffered the setback with 22 saves on 25 shots against, while Clay Stevenson made 34 saves for the victory. Stevenson still has not lost in regulation in his professional playoff tenure. 

The Everblades went zero-for-three on the man advantage while South Carolina finished one-for-two with Wilkins scoring the goal. 

Game Five will be the last game at Hertz Arena in the first round, with the series set to turn back to South Carolina for Game Six on Monday, May 1 at 7:05 p.m.
