ATLANTA, GA – The Florida Everblades can clinch a playoff spot with a regulation win against the Atlanta Gladiators on Sunday, April 2 at 3:00 p.m.
Florida (36-21-4-4) would be the second team in the South Division to clinch a playoff spot with a victory. Atlanta (33-27-6-1) is playing for their playoff lives.
The Everblades set up the win-and-in scenario with a dramatic come-from-behind win against Atlanta Saturday night. Sean Josling scored twice in 16 seconds to tie the game and then get the game winner as Florida won 4-3 against their division rival. John McCarron became the franchise’s all-time leader in assists with two helpers in the game.
The win gives the Everblades back-to-back victories for the first time since February 22 and 24. Florida had a season-high 53 shots in the win.
This is Atlanta’s final home game of the season. The Gladiators finish their year with two games against the Everblades on April 14 and 15.
