EVERBLADES FACE OFF AGAINST GLADIATORS

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades welcome the Atlanta Gladiators to Hertz Arena on Friday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. 

Florida (37-24-4-4) is playoff-bound and sits in fourth place in the South Division, while Atlanta (34-29-6-1) will miss the playoffs for the seventh time in the past nine seasons. 

The Everblades have dropped their last three games, most recently losing in heartbreaking fashion against the Jacksonville Icemen on Wednesday. After tying the game late in the third period, the Everblades surrendered the game-winning goal with less than a minute to play in what ultimately became a 5-3 setback. 

Atlanta is also coming into this game following a defeat at the hands of the Icemen. The Gladiators lost two games last week to Jacksonville – 4-3 on Friday and 5-2 on Sunday – which officially killed off their playoff aspirations. 

Florida and Atlanta have split the season series up to this point, with both teams having four wins in eight appearances. The Everblades won two of the three games played at Hertz Arena back in November, while the Gladiators have won the most recent match, a 4-0 win in Atlanta on April 2. 

Logan Lambdin has a three-game point streak entering Friday’s action. Sanghoon Shin had a 12-game point streak snapped last Saturday. 

The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a Cam Johnson Kelly Cup bobblehead, courtesy of Waste Pro.
