Everblades Travel North Of The Border For First Time This Season

TROIS RIVIÈRES, Québec – Following a crucial 3-1 win against South Division rival South Carolina last Saturday at Hertz Arena, the Florida Everblades cross the Canadian border for the first time this season for a pair against the Trois-Rivières Lions on Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18. Friday’s puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m.

Entering play on Friday, the Everblades (32-17-4-4) sit in a tie with Greenville for third place in the ECHL South Division with 72 points, four points behind first-place Jacksonville, which sports 76 points, and one point behind of second place South Carolina with 73.

Oliver Chau carries a team-best five-game point streak into the two-game set against Trois-Rivières with seven points on four goals and three assists. In goal, Evan Fitzpatrick is 4-0-0-1 in his last six appearances. During those six games, Fitzpatrick with a 2.21 GAA.  

Friday marks the first time the Everblades have traveled to Canada since their eastern conference finals playoff win against Newfoundland last season. The last regular season game the Blades played in Canada was back in 2017.

The Blades have played Trois-Rivières a total of three times, with the Lions winning all three matchups at Hertz Arena during the 2021-22 season.

Following the trip up north, the Everblades will return home to Hertz Arena on Wednesday, March 22 to begin a three-game set against the Newfoundland Growlers. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and the hump day deals, featuring $3 hot dogs and Bud Light drafts, last all game long. Get your tickets by clicking HERE.
