ORLANDO, Fla. – The first-place Florida Everblades will look to return to their winning ways Saturday night against the Orlando Solar Bears at 7:00 p.m. inside Amway Center.

After five days off, the Everblades returned to action Friday night in Jacksonville and came up on the short end of a 3-1 decision against the second-place Icemen. The loss snapped Florida’s three-game winning streak.

Orlando, a 7-6 shootout winner Friday night in Savannah, has gone to extra time in the last two games. The Solar Bears dropped a 5-4 overtime setback Wednesday in Jacksonville.

The Everblades and Solar Bears are no strangers, having met 10 times this season, with the Blades holding a 6-3-1-0 advantage, despite going 2-2-1-0 in five contests played in Central Florida. Orlando posted a 2-1 victory in the teams’ last meeting on January 22, as the Solar Bears snapped Florida’s five-game winning streak in the season series.  Three of Orlando’s four victories have been by one goal, while the Everblades have outscored the Solar Bears 32-17 in their six wins.

Cam Darcy leads all players in the season series with 13 points and 10 assists, while Blake Winiecki’s five goals is tops among players on both squads. A total of 17 different players have scored goals for the Everblades in the series, with 11 Blades tallying two goals or more.

In nine starts versus Orlando, Cam Johnson in 6-2-1-0 with a 3.13 GAA, while Evan Fitzpatrick is 0-1 with a 3.07 GAA in one appearance.

Over their last 10 games, the Everblades have posted a 7-2-0-1 mark, while Orlando is 6-3-1-0 over their last 10.
