ESTERO, Fla. – Fresh off a thrilling 3-2 victory on Wednesday night, the Florida Everblades will entertain the South Carolina Stingrays at Hertz Arena Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
Jake Smith’s game-winning goal with 6:35 to play on Wednesday gave the Everblades three wins in as many contests versus the Stingrays, as the Blades opened their lead atop the ECHL South Division to three points over South Carolina.
Wednesday’s victory was also the 300th regular-season victory for head coach Brad Ralph behind the Everblades’ bench.
At 24-9-3-2, Florida finds itself 15 games above the .500 mark for the first time this season.
Oliver Chau picked up two assists for the Everblades on Wednesday, extending his team-high point streak to six games, while Levko Koper extended his streak to three contests in his return to the lineup after sitting out seven games. Chau, who picked up his second assist of the night on Smith’s game-winner, has 10 points on two goals and eight helpers over his last six contests.
Cam Johnson earned his league-best 19th win on Wednesday, making 31 saves and topping the 30-save barrier for the 11th time this season.
