ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Everblades (42-15-5-0, 89 pts.) start a four-game week with a Wednesday night matchup against the Orlando Solar Bears (33-21-4-0, 70 pts.) at the Amway Center, the final regular-season matchup between the two teams in Orlando.

Last Time OutFlorida scored three times on special teams and Kyle Platzer netted the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Everblades to a 4-3 shootout win and series sweep of the Atlanta Gladiators on Saturday at Hertz Arena. Blake Winiecki posted his second straight multi-goal game, his fourth of the season, while Matt Finn tabbed a goal for the third consecutive contest. Callum Booth earned the win with 22 saves in his season debut for Florida. BOX SCORE | RECAP

Players to WatchRiley Weselowski (FLA) – The veteran defenseman is expected to make his 'Blades debut on Wednesday and brings more than 600 games of pro experience to the lineup. Weselowski has spent a bulk of his career with the Rapid City Rush and actually played in his 500th career game with Rapid City against the Everblades on Jan. 18 of this season. The Pilot Mound, Manitoba, native has registered 99 career points (22g-77a) in the ECHL.

Mathieu Foget (ORL) - Foget, who started the season with Florida, is tied for the Orlando lead in points in head-to-head games with the 'Blades this season. The Orleans, Ontario, native has a team-leading 41 total points (17g-24a), while he has 10 points (3g-7a) in nine games played against Florida. He has recorded seven multi-point games this season.

Series historyWednesday is the 10th of 12 total matchups between Florida and Orlando this season and the final regular-season meeting at the Amway Center. The Everblades have posted a 4-3-2-0 overall record against Orlando this year, including a 2-2-1-0 mark in Orlando. Florida holds at least a .500 winning percentage in every venue it has played in this season. In the all-time series with Orlando, Florida has compiled a 59-24-6 record.

Power Play ProficiencyThe Everblades' power play, which went scoreless in five straight games from Feb. 16-27, has heated up over the last two weeks. Florida has scored on the power play in five of its last six games, tabbing 10 power-play goals on 29 chances in that span, a conversion rate of 34.5 percent. Florida's power-play conversion rate has jumped from 22nd in the league (14.8 percent) to 13th (17.2 percent) because of the hot stretch.

Playoff PictureConcerning magic numbers, Florida's magic number to clinch the South Division is 10 points, while its magic number to clinch the Eastern Conference is 17 points. Because Orlando is the limiting factor when it comes to the South Division, Florida can trim its magic number for the South Division to six points with a win on Wednesday.

Super ShortiesFlorida's special teams success hasn't been limited to just the power play. With a shorthanded goal from Blake Winiecki on Saturday, the Everblades now have 14 shorthanded goals for the season, a total that is third in the ECHL. A bulk of Florida's shorthanded scoring has been done on the road, with 11 of the 14 shorthanded markers coming on the road. The Everblades rank second in the ECHL in road shorthanded goals, one shy of the ECHL lead.

Next UpFlorida has a day off on Thursday before starting its final stretch of three games in three days with a matchup against the Atlanta Gladiators on Friday night.
