About Tonight’s Game:  Tonight is Game 2 of this best-of-seven series, and the Stingrays hold a 1-0 series lead after taking a 3-2 win in double overtime last night.   The Everblades will be looking to avoid dropping its first two home games for the second consecutive series. Game 3 of the series will take place this Monday in North Charleston.

About Last Night’s Game 1:   Domenic Monardo scored twice, including the game-winner at 19:05 of the second overtime to lead the Rays to a 3-2 victory. Florida raced out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period, scoring on its first two shots of the contest.  However, the Stingrays capitalized their first power play of the night receiving a goal from Steven McParland.  Monardo then netted the game’s tying goal late in the second period.  Parker Milner was stellar in goal for South Carolina, turning aside 34 of the 36 shots faced.

The game was the third longest in Everblades history, falling just under seven minutes short of the record which took place back on May 6, 2015 when Florida earned a 2-1 triple overtime victory at South Carolina.  The following is a listing of three longest games in Everblades history:

1: 5/6/15 at S. Carolina (105:38) (Won 2-1 in 3OT)2: 5/9/07 vs. Dayton (101:23) (Lost 4-3 in 3OT)3. 4/28/17 vs. S. Carolina (99:05) (Lost 3-2 in 2OT)

About the Everblades:  Brendan O’Donnell and John McCarron are currently in a five-way tie for the league lead in scoring in the playoffs with 11 points each…O'Donnell remains as the leading goal scorer in the playoffs with 7...The Everblades are ranked second in the playoffs with a 37.88 shots-per-game average.

About the Stingrays:  The Stingrays are led by Rob Flick’s six goals which is the second most in the playoffs….After a solid outing last night, goaltender Parker Milner is now ranked third in the playoffs with a 1.96 goals-against-average…The Stingrays have outscored their opponents 13-5 in the second period here in the postseason.
