Hockey is coming: Everblades unveil promo schedule for 2019-20 season

ESTERO, Fla. — The Florida Everblades announced on Friday the full promotional schedule for the 2019-20 season, the team’s 22nd campaign as a member of the ECHL.

Fan-favorite nights like Teddy Bear Toss, Sweets in the Suites, Star Wars Night and Fur Circus Night are back again this season, while the Everblades have mixed several new nights into the fold like DC Comics Night, Beach Night, and Medieval Night.

THAT'S NEW!

DC Comics Night | Saturday, Dec. 28The first of the new promotional nights is DC Comics Night on Saturday, Dec. 28 when the ‘Blades will wear the guise of a DC Comics character for the night. Florida will sport special jerseys themed after a DC character, and DC Comics-themed activities will take place that night.

Beach Night | Saturday, Feb. 8It’s good vibes only for Beach Night on Saturday, Feb. 8, as the Everblades bask in the beauty of Southwest Florida’s calling card. The first 500 fans will receive an Everblades beach towel that night courtesy of Molly Moo’s and Direct Effect Marketing.

Celebration of Love Night | Friday, Feb. 14 The Everblades kick off Pink in the Rink weekend with Celebration of Love Night on Valentine’s Day on Friday, Feb. 14. From single to married and everything in between, this new promotional night will celebrate all stages of love.

Medieval Night | Saturday, Feb. 22Medieval Night will transform Hertz Arena into a world of fantasy on Saturday, Feb. 22. Sorcerers, wizards, princesses and pirates will be roaming the concourses and fans are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume that night.

What If, Conservation Night & Lee County School Night | Saturday, March 7What If, Conservation Night & Lee County Schools Night presented by Achieva Credit Union rounds out the last of this year's new promo nights. What if the team hadn’t been named the Everblades when it first started in the ECHL in 1998? Find out on What If Night when the ‘Blades adopt a new nickname, logo and special jerseys for one night only. It’s also a night to connect to conservation efforts in Southwest Florida and a special offer to Lee County Educators will be announced at a later date. 

RETURN OF FAN FAVORITES

Military Night | Saturday, Nov. 9Salute our nation's Armed Forces with the annual Military Night on Saturday, Nov. 9 presented by the National Coalition for Patriots. The 'Blades will wear specialty military-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off postgame, and there will be a special moment during the night to recognize current members of the military and veterans. 

Marvel Super Hero Night | Saturday, Nov. 23Help the 'Blades fight the good fight on Marvel Super Hero Night! The team will be masked (or caped) as a Marvel Super Hero, decking out in specialty jerseys for the game. Marvel-themed intermission games and activities, references to the movies, and more will help turn Hertz Arena into the city of the chosen super hero.  

Skate with Santa | Saturday, Dec. 7Join the 'Blades in a celebration of the holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 7. Following the game, fans will have the opportunity to skate on the Hertz Arena ice with players and the big man himself, Santa! 

Star Wars Night | Saturday, Dec. 21LUUUUUUUKE, USE THE FORCE! Star Wars Night will take you to a galaxy far, far away. Characters from the popular movie series will be in attendance at Hertz Arena on a night filled with movie references and Star Wars-themed intermission games and activities. 

Nickelodeon Night | Saturday, Jan. 25Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Na, Nick, Nick, Nick, NICKELODEON! We're going into the world of Nickelodeon on Saturday, Jan. 25 for the second straight season presented by the Boys and Girls club of Lee County . The 'Blades will wear specialty jerseys themed after a Nickelodeon show and jersey auction proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club. 

Canadian Night | Friday, Feb. 28With many of our neighbors to the north in Southwest Florida for the winter, the 'Blades will pay tribute to all things Canada for the night when Florida faces the Newfoundland Growlers (definitely not a coincidence). Grab Canadian-themed food and drinks specials during the game and enjoy Canadian-themed games and activities throughout the night!

> Fur Circus | Saturday, Feb. 29The self-dubbed 'Not So Greatest Show on Earth" returns to Hertz Arena on Saturday, Feb. 29. Fur Circus' troupe of traveling live circus-themed character mascots always bring humor and unexpected antics when they visit the Everblades, including Buddy the Bear, who is up to no good in the photo above. Don't miss out on a night of hockey, laughs and family fun!
