ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades take a 2-0 series against the Orlando Solar Bears to the Kia Center as the series turns to Orlando on Tuesday, May 6 for Game Three with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
The Everblades routed Orlando 6-2 in Game Two to take command of the series, helped along by TarunFizer’s two-goal performance. Colton Hargrove scored to extend his goal streak to four while also picking up an assist. In goal, Cam Johnson made 32 saves and pulled in to a tie with Riley Gill for the most playoff victories in ECHL history with his 53rd win Saturday night.
Orlando won two of three home games against the South Carolina Stingrays in the opening round, which they also trailed 2-0 going in to Game Three. Ara Nazarian leads Orlando with a goal and an assist so far in the series.
Florida went 0/1 on the power play and 3/3 on the penalty kill in Game Two. Kyle Betts scored a shorthanded empty net goal for his second shortie of the postseason.
