ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades face another challenge from the South Carolina Stingrays on Margaritaville Night on Friday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Blades mounted a furious comeback to rise up from down 3-0 to tie the game, but could not finish the job as Connor Moore snuck home the overtime winner 2:08 in to the extra frame. Colin Theisen scored two goals and led the team with seven shots to help the Blades grab a point out of the match.
The Stingrays are now six points behind the Everblades for first place in the South Division. South Carolina leads the season series with four wins in six games against each other with a 4-1-1-0 record, while Florida is now 2-2-1-1 against the Stingrays this season.
Theisen has four goals for Florida against South Carolina this year while former Everblades Josh Wilkins leads the Stingrays in scoring versus the Everblades with five goals this season.
