ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has signed forward Tyler Kobryn to a standard player contract.
Kobryn, 27, enters his second season with the Blades since 2023-2024. Launching his professional career with the Tulsa Oilers in the 2020-21 season, Kobryn played in 33 contests recording three goals and three assists before seeing time on five ECHL teams throughout two seasons to amass 10 goals and 10 assists in 91 appearances. These teams included the Atlanta Gladiators, the Kalamazoo Wings, the Indy Fuel and the Reading Royals.
A native of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Kobryn developed his foundational skills at the USHS Prep level with Delbarton School, where he competed in four consecutive seasons before transitioning to NCAA hockey. Prior to turning pro, he continued his development with four years at the collegiate level at Wesleyan University, where he accumulated 29 points in 97 games (16 goals and 11 assists).
