ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Isaac Nurse.
Nurse, 25, made his professional debut with the Everblades last season, appearing in five regular-season contests for the 2024 Kelly Cup Champions. He joined the Blades following a three-year college career with the University of New Brunswick. In 84 career games with the Reds, Nurse scored 24 goals and dished out 17 assists.
The Hamilton, Ontario native, played four seasons of junior hockey with the Hamilton Bulldogs, helping his hometown team to the 2017-18 Ontario Hockey League championship. In 248 regular-season and postseason games with the Bulldogs, Nurse registered 104 points on 58 goals and 46 assists.
Nurse’s sister Sarah represented Canada in two Winter Olympics, winning a gold medal at the 2022 Beijing Games and capturing a silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. She was a part of three World Championship teams with Canada in 2021, 2022 and 2024 and currently plays for PWHL Toronto of the Professional Women’s Hockey League.
