EVERBLADES ANNOUNCE 2024-25 SCHEDULE

ESTERO, Fla. –  While the 2024 Kelly Cup and the quest for a third straight Kelly Cup continues, the Florida Everblades have unveiled the team’s 2024-25 regular-season schedule which has been released by the ECHL league office.

The 27th season of Everblades hockey will get underway on Saturday, October 19 with a road contest against the Jacksonville Icemen. Following the regular-season opener, the Blades will lift the lid on the 2024-25 home season at Hertz Arena with a pair of contests on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 with puck drops at 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively.

The Blades will play a 72-game regular-season schedule, with 36 games at Hertz Arena and 36 games away from the Swamp. Of those 72 games, 54 will be played against the other six South Division teams, while 18 contests will involve six teams from outside the division.

Among the 54 games against South Division foes, the Blades will play 22 contests against in-state rivals, as they meet the Orlando Solar Bears 13 times and the Jacksonville Icemen nine times. Other divisional games on tap include the Savannah Ghost Pirates for 11 games, the South Carolina Stingrays for eight contests, the Atlanta Gladiators seven times and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits for six matchups.

Fans will get the opportunity to see two teams from outside the South Division at Hertz Arena throughout the season, including the Kalamazoo Wings (Nov. 20, 22-23) and the expansion Tahoe Knight Monsters (Feb. 19, 21-22), each of which will visit Estero for a three-game series.

Non-conference away opponents include the Fort Wayne Komets (Nov. 28-30), Idaho Steelheads (Jan. 8, 10-11), the Indy Fuel (Feb. 12, 14-15) and Norfolk Admirals (March 5, 7-8).

Of the five teams outside the South Division that appear on the 2024-25 schedule, four – Idaho, Indy, Kalamazoo and Norfolk – qualified for the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Closer examination of the 36 home contests reveals two games in October, five in November, seven in December, five in January, eight in February, six in March and three in April. Additionally, 13 home games will take place on Friday, 12 will be played on Saturday, and 10 are slated for Wednesday. One game will occur on a Monday, as Orlando visits Hertz Arena for the final game of the 2024 calendar year on December 30.

The longest homestand of the 2024-25 is a six-game string against Tahoe, Orlando and South Carolina that runs February 19 through March 1. Several road trips of four games mark the longest stretch of games away from Hertz Arena.
