ESTERO, Fla. – After a convincing 4-1 win last night over the Atlanta Gladiators, the Florida Everblades are back in action in Georgia’s capital for another matchup. Puck drop in game two of this two-game set is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5 at Gas South Arena.
Zach Uens, Cole Moberg, Bobo Carpenter, and Mark Senden found the back of the net last night and scored across all periods of play for a wire-to-wire victory. Moberg has found his goal-scoring touch as of late, scoring three goals since last Friday. Carpenter is just one tally behind Joe Pendenza for the team lead in goals.
Patrick AuCoin scored the only goal for the Gladiators in the second period. The forward has potted three goals in the last two games – two in a 4-0 win over Jacksonville and one in the 4-1 loss to Florida.
While Florida won last night, Orlando also won its game, meaning there was no separation between the two clubs for fourth and fifth place in the division. The Blades remain just ahead of the Solar Bears with 77 points. The South Carolina Stingrays fell in overtime to Savannah last night as well. The extra point pushed South Carolina three points clear of Florida and Orlando.
