ESTERO, Fla – After a nail-biting finish to the third period against the Orlando Solar, the Florida Everblades walked away with a 4-3 victory. The Blades are back on the road tonight with another pivotal South Division meeting against the Jacksonville Icemen. Puck drop from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena is set for Mar. 15 at 7:00 p.m.
The W on Tuesday extends the Everblades win streak to three games, dating back to Mar. 6. Those wins include one over Jacksonville and two over Orlando. Two of those games were one-goal results, with the other being decided by two tallies. Florida forward Oliver Chau has been in dominant form of play during this streak, with a three-game point streak totaling five points.
The Icemen, on the other hand, have gone ice cold. On a two-game skid, and having lost five of their last six, Jacksonville needs points to remain in second place in the South. Friday’s game will be the Icemen’s first in over a week, as their last game was a 3-1 loss on the road to the Solar Bears on Mar. 7.
The Icemen will travel to Hertz Arena for two games on Mar. 29 and 30 to wrap up the month.
