ESTERO, Fla – The Florida Everblades make one last trip to the North Charleston Coliseum this season to take on the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday, March 16 at 6:05 p.m. This game is the make-up date for the match postponed back on December 23 due to unsafe ice conditions.
This game has already seen 7:11 come off the clock and will start with a 1-1 tie and 12:49 remaining in the opening period. Sean Josling has the goal for Florida while Jonny Evans provided the Stingrays’ tally back in December. Kyle Neuber and Garet Hunt will both start in the penalty box as they serve out the remainder of the fighting majors they took before the postponement.
The Everblades three-game winning streak came to an end last night after a 4-2 loss to the Jacksonville Icemen. Logan Lambdin and Mark Senden scored for Florida in the loss, as Florida finishes the season with a 0-4-2 record in Jacksonville.
South Carolina blew a four-goal lead last night against the Orlando Solar Bears and fell 6-5 in overtime on home ice. By virtue of the one point they did grab, the Stingrays are now one point ahead of Florida for third place in the South Division, though the Blades do have two games in hand.
The Stingrays took two of three games against Florida in Charleston two weeks back, most recently with a 3-2 win over the Everblades on March 3. Florida is 3-4-1 against South Carolina this season.
