ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades finish the week against the Savannah Ghost Pirates, hosting their South Division rivals for Hispanic Heritage Night on Saturday, January 13 at 7:00 p.m.
The two teams have split the series so far – Savannah won 4-1 on Wednesday before Florida responded with a 5-3 victory two nights later. The win Friday brought the Everblades within one point of the South Carolina Stingrays for fourth place in the division.
Bobo Carpenter scored two goals for Florida, his second multigoal game in his last five, while newcomer Weiland Parrish scored the game-winner in his first game in Estero. Brent Pederson led the Ghost Pirates offense with a goal and an assist.
This is both team’s last game before the 2024 ECHL All-Star Classic, which will be hosted in Savannah on January 14 and 15. Nathan Staios will follow the Ghost Pirates back to Savannah as Florida’s representative. The Atlanta, Georgia local has six goals and eight assists in 28 games in his second season with the Everblades, including a highlight-reel goal last night.
