ESTERO, Fla – Following a 5-3 win on Wednesday night spearheaded by a Bobo Carpenter hat trick, the Florida Everblades return the ice for the second game of the week against the Atlanta Gladiators. The Jan. 5 matchup from Gas South Arena is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
The victory over Atlanta marked the fourth win in the past five games for Florida and leveled the record of the current road trip at 1-1. The Blades fell 5-4 on Dec. 31 in Greenville. After the second meeting with the Gladiators, the Everblades take on the Swamp Rabbits again before returning home next week.
Carpenter’s hat trick was the first by an Everblade this season, and the first since March 17, 2023, when Blake Winiecki potted one against Trois-Rivières. Bobo leads Florida with 13 goals and is tied at the top with Joe Pendenza with 20 points. Pendenza and Sean Josling scored the other two Florida goals. Kyle Neuber, Andrew Fyten, Stanislav Demin, Cam Hausinger, Oliver Chau, and Brett Davis added assists across the night.
Atlanta has now lost three straight games and sits in last place of the Eastern Conference. Florida remains at the fifth seed in the South division, one spot below the playoff line. The Everblades are just three points behind the Jacksonville Icemen with two games in hand.
The Blades move to 3-0 against the Glados, and look to make it a fourth win on Friday night.
