ESTERO, Fla – After a strong 4-1 win over the Orlando Solar Bears Last night, the Florida Everblades cap off a lengthy home stand against their in-state rivals with game two of the series on Saturday, Dec. 16. Puck drop from Hertz Arena is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Nathan Staios got the scoring started in the first period with a silky move off the boards and a backhand finish. Mark Senden and Kyle Neuber assisted on the tally. Minutes later, Senden would score himself, while Staios provided an assist to give them both two-point periods, and lift the Blades to a 2-0 lead after one.
In the second, a big scrum in front of the Orlando net allowed Chris Ordoobadi to score on a sprawled-out Brandon Halverson. Neuber again assisted for another point. The Solar Bears would get one back in the closing moments of the period.
Sean Josling scored in the early stages of the third period to give the Blades another three-goal lead, which is how the game would finish, 4-1.
The Everblades are now 2-2 against the Solar Bears at home this season.
