ESTERO, Fla – Returning home after a lengthy northern road trip against Adirondack, the Florida Everblades host the South Carolina Stingrays in a three-game series. The first of those matchups is Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Hertz Arena.
These games will be the first time Florida and South Carolina meet this season and will mark the first home games of December.
In their series against the Adirondack Thunder, the Everblades went 1-1-1, which included a heart-stopping comeback win, a near-comeback loss, and a razor-thin overtime loss. That stretch of games moves Florida to 8-6-3 after 17 games played. That record places the Blades in fifth place in the division.
The Stingrays are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, having won their last four consecutive games. That includes two wins against Trois-Rivières at home and back-to-back 8-5 wins: the first over Savannah at home, and the second against division-leading Greenville on the road. Over their four-game tear, the Stingrays outscored opponents 25-14. This surge in momentum has elevated South Carolina to second place in the division.
Wednesday’s contest will mark the start of a five-game home stand for the Everblades, the longest home streak of the season.
