Everblades Sign Scott Allan

EVERBLADES SIGN SCOTT ALLAN   

ESTERO, Fla. ­– Florida Everblades General Manager and Head Coach Brad Ralph announced the team has signed defenseman Scott Allan to a standard player contract for the 2023-24 season.   Allan, 27, made his professional debut last season with the Fort Wayne Komets. In 45 games for the ECHL side, Allan netted three goals and five assists, good for eight points. In the Kelly Cup Playoffs, Allan played two games with no points, as his Komets fell in seven games to the Cincinnati Cyclones.   The Thornton, Colorado native previously played four years of college hockey at Concordia University of Edmonton from 2017-22. Across 89 games for the Thunder, Allan produced 33 points – six goals and 27 assists. In 11 playoff games in Edmonton, Allan produced four goals and two assists.   Allan also played for the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL for two years from 2015-2017, where he played 98 games, scoring 32 points behind seven goals and 25 assists. During the 2015-16 season, Allan and the Warriors won the League Championship, the Western Canada Cup, and the Royal Bank Cup as the best Junior A team in Canada. In the postseason run, Allan provided two assists.   The Everblades will begin the defense of the organization’s back-to-back Kelly Cup Championships on Thursday, October 19 with a road matchup against the Orlando Solar Bears. The 2023-24 home opener is slated for Saturday, October 28 with a 7:00 p.m. against the Jacksonville Icemen at Hertz Arena.
