North Charleston, S.C. – The Florida Everblades go to South Carolina to play the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday April 7 at 7:00 p.m.
Florida (37-22-4-4) is currently ties with the Jacksonville Icemen for second place in the South Division. The Stingrays (41-21-4-1) sit five points ahead of Florida for first place, though the Everblades have a game in hand.
The Everblades can clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win or if the Atlanta Gladiators lose to the Icemen. South Carolina has already locked in their postseason berth.
The Everblades are coming off an impressive win at home over Jacksonville on Wednesday. Nathan Staios scored the game winner, Will Calverley buried his first ECHL goal, and Cam Johnson made 30 saves in a 4-2 win.
South Carolina played last night, defeating the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 2-1 to end a four-game road trip. The Stingrays went 4-0 on the road, outscoring their opponents 19-2 in the process.
Florida has won seven of eight meetings against the Stingrays this season, including both games in the North Charleston Coliseum.
