GREENVILLE, SC –  The playoff race continues for the Florida Everblades as they get set to face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Friday, March 31 at 7:05 p.m. 

Florida (34-21-4-4) sitt fourth place in the South Division, four points behind Greenville (36-20-7-1) who currently hold first place in the division. The Everblades have one game in hand on the Swamp Rabbits. 

The Everblades enter action against the Swamp Rabbits off a 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Gladiators on Wednesday. Florida has now dropped three straight games, despite outshooting their opponent in each match. Blake Winiecki scored the Everblades lone goal in that game. 

Greenville has won four of their last five games coming into Friday’s game, most recently claiming a 5-4 shootout victory over the Toledo Walleye. Carter Souch scored the lone shootout goal to get Greenville the win, while Justin Nachbaur scored twice in regulation. 

This is the sixth and final meeting this season between Greenville and Florida. The Swamp Rabbits have won three of the five games to this point, imcluding the two most recent matchups. Four of the five meetings this year have been decided by one goal, and three of them have gone into extra time. 

Florida is in their second game of a four-game road swing, continuing Saturday and finishing Sunday in Atlanta.
