BLADES BEGIN FOUR GAME ROAD TRIP IN GEORGIA VERSUS GLADIATORS

DULUTH, Ga. – The Florida Everblades travel north to the Peachtree State to face the Atlanta Gladiators on Wednesday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m., part of a four-game road trip.  

The Everblades (34-20-4-4, 76 points) sit five points clear of the Gladiators for fourth place in the South Division and four points behind first-place Greenville. Atlanta sports record of (32-25-6-1) and are currently in fifth place in the South with 71 points. On the season, the Blades are 3-2-0-0 against Atlanta with two of the three wins coming at Hertz Arena. The Everblades will look to secure a spot in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 10 games left on the schedule, most among all South Division teams. 

Florida has not faced off against Atlanta since back on November 19. The Blades pulled out a 3-2 victory in which forwards Blake Winiecki and Cam Darcy found the net with Winiecki netting two.  

Looking back, the Blades are coming off a three-game series against the Eastern Conference leading Newfoundland Growlers in which Florida fell in two of the three games. In the last matchup of the series, the Blades fell just short with a two-goal effort from forward Sean Josling who found the net a total of three times in the series.  

The Everblades will play four games in five days on this road trip, three matchups with the Atlanta Gladiators and one with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.  

The game will be broadcast live on FLO Hockey and ESPN Southwest Florida, beginning at 6:50 p.m.
