ESTERO, Fl. - The Florida Everblades finish February with a three-game series at Hertz Arena against the Kansas City Mavericks, beginning Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m.
The Everblades (28-13-4-3, 61 points) are in second place in the South Division, five points behind the Jacksonville Icemen with two games in hand. Kansas City (22-19-6-0) occupy the third spot in the Mountain Division.
Florida comes home after winning one of three games against the Allen Americans last week. The Everblades began the week with an 8-5 victory last Wednesday, but Allen bounced back with 5-2 and 4-3 wins over the Everblades on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Florida has now lost back-to-back games in regulation for the first time this season. The Everblades are currently 2-3-1-1 in February.
Kansas City is coming off back-to-back losses against the Idaho Steelheads last weekend. Those losses put a halt to a four-game winning streak.
Joe Pendenza reached 100 ECHL goals with his two-goal effort in the loss Saturday.
