BLADES FINISH THREE-GAME SET WITH ALLEN SATURDAY NIGHT

ALLEN, Texas – The Florida Everblades end a three-game stint at Credit Union of Texas Event Center with one last match against the Allen Americans on Saturday, February 18 at 8:05 p.m.

The Everblades (28-12-4-3, 61 points) are in second place in the South Division, one back of the Jacksonville Icemen. Allen (23-24-1-0) has a two-point lead on the Rapid City Rush for fourth place in the Mountain Division.

Florida began the week with an 8-5 victory over Allen on Wednesday, but the Americans responded well Friday night, defeating the Everblades 5-2.

Florida has lost four of their last five road games (1-3-1-0) and lost their first game outside of their division last night. The Everblades have only won back-to-back road games twice this season.

Allen halted a three-game skid with the win Friday. The Americans outshot Florida 42-31 in that game, only the 15th time they have outshot an opponent this year.

Joe Pendenza is on a six-game point streak for the Everblades, while Brad Morrison has four goals in his last three outings. Allen’s Jack Combs leads the ECHL with 28 goals, while Colton Hargrove is on a 23-game point streak, including a hat trick in Wednesday’s match.

The Everblades will return to Hertz Arena on Wednesday, February 22 to open a three-game series against the Kansas City Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. Fans should plan to take advantage of the ever-popular Hump Day Deals and pick up $3.00 Bud Light 16 oz. drafts and $3.00 hot dogs.
