GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Florida Everblades (19-6-5-0, 43 pts.) continue a stretch of three games in three nights with the first game of a two-game set against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (12-18-3-0, 27 pts.) on Friday night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Last Time OutTommy Thompson scored just 22 seconds into the game and four other players found the back of the net in a 5-2 win over the Atlanta Gladiators on Thursday night at Infinite Energy Arena. John McCarron registered his fourth consecutive multi-point game and Blake Winiecki posted his third multi-point game of the season. Jamie Phillips stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced to earn his 12th win of the season. 

BOX SCORE | RECAP Players to WatchBlake Winiecki (FLA) – After missing the first 10 games of the season due to injury, Winiecki has become a steady offensive option for Florida and has 16 points in 20 games in his first full season in the ECHL. Has has four points over his last four games, including his third multi-point game of the season on Thursday night in Atlanta.  

Johno May (GRN) - The American International College product leads Greenville in goal scoring with 17 goals in 33 games. He posted a two-goal night in his first game against Florida this year on Dec. 7. May is second among ECHL rookies with 29 points. 

Series historyFriday night is the fifth of 10 total meetings between Florida and Greenville this season and the third of five matchups at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The Everblades hold a 47-31-15 all-time record against Greenville, including a 4-0-0-0 mark against the Swamp Rabbits this season. In the most recent matchup between the two teams on Dec. 14, Florida scored twice in the third period to break a 2-2 tie and earn the 4-2 win. 

Fire Away!The 'Blades have outshot their opponent in 13 of their last 15 games and are now fifth in the ECHL in shots on goal per game, averaging 33.6 shots on goal per tilt this season. Over its last five games, Florida has had a stark advantage in that category, outshooting its opponents by an average of 17.0 shots per game (207 SOGF - 122 SOGA). Florida has been outshot in just seven games this season. 

First things firstFlorida has registered the first goal in seven of its last nine games and has yet to lose in regulation this season when scoring first. When posting the initial goal, Florida has compiled a record of 12-0-4-0 and is one of just two teams in the league that has not lost in regulation when opening the scoring. 

Defensive ExcellenceFlorida is second in the league in both shots against and goals against per game, limiting opponents to an average of 27.0 shots and 2.57 goals per tilt. Florida has yielded three or fewer goals in all but seven of its 30 games this season and has allowed four or more goals in consecutive games just once this year. 

Return of the Mac'Blades captain John McCarron is in the midst of one of his best offensive stretches of the season. With his goal on Thursday night, the Macomb, Michigan, native now has goals in four consecutive games to match the longest goal streak by a Florida player this year. His four-game multi-point game streak is also tied for the longest such streak by a 'Blades player this season.
