About Tonight’s Game:  The Everblades lead the series 1-0 and will look to protect home ice advantage tonight, with the series shifting back to Glens Falls, New York this upcoming Wednesday, Friday and potentially for a Game 5 on Saturday.

About Last Night’s Game: Following a tightly contested first 40 minutes, the Everblades took a 1-0 lead into the second intermission.  However, both teams combined for six goals in the third period, but the ‘Blades managed to edge the Thunder with a 4-3 win. Forwards John McCarron and Michael Kirkpatrick each scored twice in the contest.  Shots:  FLA – 36  ADK – 35

About the Everblades:  Michael Kirkpatrick recorded his sixth multi-point game of the playoffs in Friday’s Game 1 scoring two goals. Kirkpatrick’s nine postseason goals are tops in the playoffs…. Four of the top five scorers in the Kelly Cup Playoffs will be featured in tonight’s game.  Florida’s Mitchell Heard ranks second with 14 pts, followed by Kirkpatrick (13 pts), John McCarron (13 pts), while Adirondack’s James Henry is fifth with 13 points as well….Defenseman Zack Kamrass is tied for first among defenseman with ten points…The Everblades have scored 19 of their 40 goals in the third period.

About the Thunder:  As expected, Troy Bourke made an immediate impact on Friday, scoring a goal in his playoff debut after returning to the team from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL) earlier in the week. Bourke has accrued 32 points in 22 games played with the Thunder in the regular season….Ryan Schmelzer also posted his team-leading seventh goal of the playoffs while also adding an assist in Friday’s game…The Thunder are a team that feed off fast starts in this playoff season, holding a 7-0 record when scoring first.
