About Tonight’s Game:  The two teams will meet in the postseason for just the third time, with each team earning a series win.  The Everblades ended the regular season as the ECHL’s top team and have reach the playoffs for the 19th time in the club's 20 seasons. The Everblades own home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. The Gladiators return to the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2013. Atlanta will host Games 3, 4 and 5 of the series at home beginning on Thursday.

Series Information: Florida took all ten head-to-head meetings during the regular season and lead the All-Time regular season series with the Gladiators 91-51-15…The Everblades defeated the Gladiators 4 games to 1 in the 2009 South Division Semifinals, while the Gladiators defeated the Everblades in the South Division Finals 3 games to 1.

About the Everblades:  Florida has set 22 of its 23 playoff roster spots and can fill the final opening on the roster with one of the following eligible players:   Matt Finn (D), Josiah Didier (D), Tyler Ganly (D), Josh Wesley (D) and Dave Dziurzynski (F)…Newcomer Sam Warning closed the regular season riding a three game goal scoring streak.  Subsequently, all three goals scored resulted as the first goal of each game...Everblades Head Coach Brad Ralph recorded his 350th career coaching win in the regular season finale on April 7 against Jacksonville.

About the Gladiators:  Chuck Weber is in his first season as head coach of the Gladiators.  Weber is tied for fifth in ECHL history with 45 postseason wins and led Cincinnati to Kelly Cup titles in 2008 and 2010…Atlanta’s lineup has changed quite a bit since the two teams met in the first four games of the regular season back in October. In fact, there are currently 11 players on the current Gladiators playoff roster that did not appear in those first four games of the season….Leading goal scorer Phil Lane (32 goals) returned to the Gladiators from the AHL this past week.  Lane led Atlanta in points against the Everblades with eight (4g, 4a).
