About Tonight’s Game: On Friday, the Everblades rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Swamp Rabbits by a 3-2 score in overtime. The win, coupled by a South Carolina loss at Toledo, extended Florida’s lead in the division to five points. The Swamp Rabbits earned a point last night in the loss, but still remain winless in their last 11 games (0-9-2-0). The season series is tied at 2-2, while three of the four meetings between the two teams have been decided in overtime, or the shootout.

About the Everblades: Both Brett Bulmer and Zack Kamrass have scored in each of the past two games. In addition, Bulmer has scored four goals in the last six games…The Everblades did not allow a single shot against in the third period of last night’s win over Greenville. It marked just second time in club history, that the ‘Blades did not surrender a shot in a period. The first time took place in the third period of a game on January 7, 2005 at South Carolina…John McCarron scored the game-winning goal just 38 seconds into overtime of last night game. McCarron has now taken the team lead in scoring with 50 points, while also leading the ‘Blades in scoring against Greenville with nine points (6g, 3a) in four games…The Everblades have been able to manufacture numerous shots on goal in games against Greenville this season. About the Swamp Rabbits: Local product and defenseman Daniel Echeverri who played five seasons for FGCU’s hockey team, recorded an assist in his return to Germain Arena last night. In addition to FGCU, Echeverri has played for the Junior ‘Blades and has appeared in two preseason outings with the Everblades during the past two years….Greenville continues to receive quality goaltending in games against the Everblades this season. Ty Rimmer has stopped a plethora of shots in the first three meetings with the ‘Blades this season. Rimmer was expected to start Friday’s game, but was a late scratch due to an injury. As a result, former Everblade Brad Barone started and turned aside 40 of 43 shots faced. Barone played in a playoff game for the Everblades back on May 1, 2015 in a relief effort…Forward Evan Jasper and Joe Basaraba continue to lead Greenville in scoring with 38 points.

Saturday, March 17, vs. Orlando, 7:00 p.m. Annual Gun 'n Hoses game! Try Goalie Day also takes place on March 17 from 12;30-2:30 p.m. on the main rink at Germain Arena. This FREE event is open to kids aged 5-13 interested in the opportunity to try playing goalie. Everblades Goaltending Coach Josh Robinson in conjunction with Phil Osaer with USA Hockey will be hosting the event for interested kids to have fun and give the goaltending position a try.
