Everblades Acquire Forward Sam Warning from Quad City

ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Tuesday that the team has acquired forward Sam Warning from the Quad City Mallards in exchange for forward Quentin Shore and future considerations.

Warning, 25, joins the Everblades after logging 31 points (16g, 15a) in 41 games played this season with the Mallards. In addition, the 5-10, 180-pound forward has also recorded a goal in nine appearances with the American Hockey League’s San Jose Barracuda. Warning has totaled 116 points (56g, 60a) In 141 career ECHL games with Quad City from 2015-2018.  The Chesterfield, Missouri native had a productive collegiate career at the University of Minnesota from 2011-2015, compiling 97 points (40g, 57a).`Shore, 23, will now join Quad City after registering 27 points (11g, 16a) in 45 games with the Everblades this season.

Florida will travel to Jacksonville for a pair of games this weekend on Friday (March 9) and Saturday (March 10).

Friday,  March 16, vs. Orlando, 7:30 p.m. Kids eat free in the Breakaway Sports Pub with the purchase of an adult entree!  Fans can also enjoy bottomless all-you-can-eat popcorn from the concession stands all night long!

Saturday,  March 17, vs. Orlando, 7:00 p.m. Annual Guns 'n Hoses game!  The team will wear special police and fire fighter themed jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game to benefit MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association).  In addition, local police and fire fighters will do battle on the ice beginning at 4:15 p.m.

Try Goalie Day also takes place on March 17 from 12;30-2:30 p.m. on the main rink at Germain Arena.  This FREE event is open to youth players aged 5-13 interested in the opportunity to try playing goalie.  Everblades Goaltending Coach Josh Robinson in conjunction with Phil Osaer with USA Hockey will be hosting the event for interested youth players to have fun and give the goalie position a try. Goalie equipment will be provided, but interested players should bring their own hockey equipment and skates.
