About Tonight’s Game: The Swamp Rabbits have claimed each of the first two meetings with the Everblades this season via the shootout following a 4-3 win last night at Germain Arena.  The ‘Blades managed to pick up a point in the loss, but now only lead second place South Carolina by four points for the top spot in the division.   Florida has outshot Greenville 104-67 in the two games played this season. Additionally, the ‘Blades hold a combined 47-12 shots on goal advantage in the second period of the two meetings.  Friday’s win was a big for Greenville, as they now are tied with Orlando for fourth place in the division standings with 44 points.

About the Everblades:  Forwards Justin Kea and John McCarron are each riding a four-game point streak.  In addition, McCarron has recorded a goal in each of the last three games and has six goals in the last seven contests.  McCarron also scored the lone goal for the Everblades in last night’s overtime shootout… Rookie Callum Booth is expected to start in goal tonight for the Everblades. Booth ranks third in the league among rookie goaltenders with 13 wins.

About the Swamp Rabbits: Forward Caleb Herbert’s 45 points continues to lead the way for Greenville…Herbert leads the Swamp Rabbits in scoring against the Everblades with four points (2g, 2a) in two games…Rookie forward Garrett Clemment had a memorable ECHL debut on Friday.  Just nine seconds after the Everblades assumed a 3-1 lead in the third period, Clemment recorded his first ECHL goal. Just 14 second later, he scored his second goal to tie the game at three and eventually force the overtime shootout. Clemment was added to the Greenville roster prior to Friday’s game after 13-game stint with the Knoxville Ice Bears of the SPHL…Goaltender Ty Rimmer has made 97 saves in two appearances against Florida this season.
