The 20th anniversary logo was designed by the team’s longtime partner Boost Creative located in Cape Coral. The logo features a modern look while including traditional elements such as the classic alligator logo and the team’s green and navy blue colors. The overall concept aims to capture the 20-year tradition of Everblades Hockey.
“The 2017-18 season will mark another milestone for the organization as we celebrate 20 years of hockey in Southwest Florida,” said Everblades Vice President of Sales & Marketing Chris Palin. “The continuous support from the community and our fans have helped make these 20 years very memorable. In addition, the team has aided in the development and growth of youth hockey programs in the state. We are extremely proud of all the accomplishments that have been achieved during past two decades.”
The team began play in Southwest Florida during the 1998-99 ECHL season. More than four million fans have attended Everblades games throughout the years. The team has recorded 798 wins, three conference championships and a Kelly Cup Championship in 2012. The team has also developed and advanced numerous players to the AHL and NHL levels.
Wednesday’s logo unveiling was part of several activities planned for celebrating 20 years of Everblades hockey. Later this summer, the team will reveal a new look for its white jerseys specifically for the 20th Anniversary season.
The team will open the 2017-18 season at Germain Arena on October 13 & 14 against the Atlanta Gladiators.
