ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Saturday that the team has received forward Levko Koper from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Koper (COE-pur), 26, returns to the Everblades where he has totaled eight points (5g, 3a) with a +9 rating in 13 appearances this season. In addition, Koper added 18 points (7g, 11a) in 56 games with Charlotte this season.
Last season, the 6-0, 193-pound winger recorded 31 points in his senior season at the University of Alberta and also registered three assists in five games played with the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) last spring. Koper is under an AHL contract with Charlotte this season.
The addition of Koper now puts Florida's playoff roster at 22 eligible players. Teams are allowed a maximum of 23 players during the course of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. To view the Everblades current playoff roster CLICK HERE
