However, South Carolina handed the ‘Blades their last loss back on December 31 in North Charleston, and the Stingrays do not want to head home without any points in their pockets.  Florida maintains the top spot in the division with a nine-point edge over second place Orlando.

About Friday’s Game:  Florida received another solid outing from Anthony Peters who stopped 26 of 27 shots to help pace the Everblades to a tight 2-1 victory over South Carolina.  It was the Stingrays that struck first in the game with a power play goal from Rob Flick.  However, the ‘Blades claimed the lead in the second period with a 5-on-3 power marker from Akim Aliu and a go-ahead marker from Clark Bishop exactly one minute later.  In the third, Peters turned aside all 11 South Carolina shots to seal the 2-1 win.

About the Everblades:  It has been quite a run for Brant Harris in recent weeks.  Last night Harris saw his points streak end at 13 games. The streak was tied for the highest set in the league this season.  Harris collected 17 points (7g, 10a) during this stretch which began back on December 10…It’s been home sweet home for the Everblades at Germain Arena this season. The ‘Blades have collected points in 18 of their 20 home games, boasting a 15-2-1-2 home record  Additionally, Florida has outscored its opponents 75-52 in home games this season.
