About Friday’s Game: It was a goaltender’s duel on Friday night as Florida’s Anthony Peters stopped 19 of 20 shots, while Manchester’s Sam Brittain made 32 saves in the contest. Florida took a 2-1 lead into the second period, and despite several quality scoring chances, the ‘Blades did not have an answer for Brittain in the final two periods. However, Peters turned aside all ten shots in the third period to secure the win for Florida. The ‘Blades tacked on an empty net goal with one second remaining to seal the 3-1 home victory.
About the Everblades: Brendan O’Donnell continued his torrid scoring pace Friday night, registering his team best 21st goal of the season. O’Donnell has now scored seven goals in the last six games. Assisting on O’Donnell’s goal was Brant Harris who extended his point scoring streak to 11 games…Newcomer Clark Bishop logged an assist in his Everblades debut last night. Bishop joined the team yesterday after being reassigned from Charlotte of the American Hockey League…Anthony Peters is expected to start in goal for Florida this evening.
