Everblades Receive Altshuller & Kamrass from AHL Camps

ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Wednesday that the Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) have reassigned goaltender Daniel Altshuller to the Everblades from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.  In addition, defenseman Zack Kamrass has also been returned to the ‘Blades from the Manitoba Moose (AHL) training camp.

Altshuller, 22, returns to the Everblades where he posted a 10-4-0 record, with three shutouts, a goals-against-average of 1.76 and a .934 save percentage last season.  The third-year pro was named the ECHL Goaltender of the Month in November of 2015.  The 6-4, 201-pound netminder also shined with Charlotte last season, logging a 10-10-5 record, one shutout, a 2.81 goals-against-average and a .905 save percentage.  The Nepean, Ontario native is a third-round draft selection of the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Kamrass, 25, agreed to terms with the Everblades this past summer after recording 24 points (4g, 20a) in 62 games played with the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) last season. The 5-11, 190-pound blueliner also appeared in one game last year with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars. Kamrass joined the Steelheads in the spring of 2015 and logged five points (2g, 3a) in just six games. The Atlanta, Georgia native totaled 64 career points (13g, 51a) during his four-years at UMASS-Lowell from 2011-2015.
