ESTERO, FL -- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Monday that the team has acquired forward Jordan Samuels-Thomas (pictured above) from the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for forward Ralph Cuddemi.

Samuels-Thomas, 26, joins the Everblades having registered six points (3g,3a) in four games played with the Grizzlies this season. Last year, the 6-3, 185-pound forward recorded 22 points (12g,10a) in 58 games played with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League.  In addition, he also logged an assist in 13 playoff appearances with the Reign.

In 2014-15, Samuels-Thomas posted eight points in 65 games played with the Rochester Americans (AHL).  He totaled 104 career points (50g, 54a) during his four-year collegiate career split between Bowling Green State University (2009-2011) and Quinnipiac University (2012-2014).

The West Hartford, Connecticut native was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round-of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Cuddemi, 23, heads to Utah after appearing in one game with the Everblades this season. Cuddemi tallied five points in nine appearances with Florida last spring. He originally joined the ‘Blades this past March after concluding a productive career at Canisius College.The Everblades return to Germain Arena this Friday and Saturday night to take on the rival South Carolina Stingrays.
